Mossy subspecies, mouth color?

viper69 Apr 17, 2005 12:44 AM

I assume people are talking about the color inside their mouths?

and if so, how are people opening their mouths w/out freaking out their geckos?

Thanks

technically, it's stressing your gecko that causes it to open their mouths. some will open up as soon as you pin them down right behind their head. just dont do it often or too rough, and you and your gecko should be fine.

the black is about the back 1/2 of the mouth. maybe more, maybe less depending on the gecko.

the best and least invasive way to get them to gape is to firmly tap them on the sides of the mouth with your index finger and thumb...
