This was bought as a Telescopus Dhara, but it does not look like any dhara i have ever seen. Anyone who know the species?

None of the pix I have of that genus even come close, although the general description for the genus fits. Are the pupils vertically eliptical? If it is in fact Telescopus, it is not one of the species from Africa. Perhaps someone else here can be of more help.

I have seen a Telescopus dhara that looked like that. It belonged to Dan (FRAN) who posts here. There are populations of Black headed Telescopus. A better photo of the head would confirm it.

Telescopus nigriceps has a black head (as its name implies...), and in general fits that specimen. Now that I would want to be definite without a closer look...)

Cheers,
