I have a Western Hognose that seems only want to eat at night. He's active during the day and will crawl all around the mouse but refuses to eat. I have even showed him the mouse to make sure he knows it's there, but he has no interest in it. But always the next morning the mouse is gone.
Anybody else experince this?
Most of my hognose will eat any time of the day/night, but I do have one that only eats during night-time. Your little guy probably just feels more secure eating in the "cover" of darkness. Nothing to worry about.
I feed all my snakes during the night regardless.
