Great news

I've been forcefeeding Annabella for awhile. She is looking slender but healthy. Lately she's shown some interest in hunting, but I think she is sick of crickets. Her diet must have been quite varied in the wild, it included small lizards.

I was out feeding the chickens and managed to catch a moth. I put it in her tank. Annabella caught it and ate it

She's never been interested in caterpillars. Whenever I catch grasshoppers there's never enough and Ezra find's them "finger licking good". I'll pick up superworms when I go to the big city this weekend. I think I need to fashion a butterfly net to catch flying insects.

You know Nicole,

A lot of times they have like 5$ butterfly nets that you can buy at Wal-Mart right now since the kids are getting outside and playing with bugs again. (some of us never grow up (: ) a lot of people I know use socks and a coat hanger too. I happen to like the walmart nets because you can see your catch. careful not to snag though heh. Thought I'd share.

YOu can easily swoop up a few dozen moths on a warm night. You can also make a small trap by putting a funnel ina bottle and hangling a light over it.

Good luck.
