I was wondering how long the actual copulation should last? my male was "in-and-out" in maybe 20 seconds or so. is this normal?

Yeah that's normal. Once the male gets the female pinned, and positioned right with her tail up and his under hers it only takes seconds once copulation begins for the deed to be done. Good Luck with the incubation, and hatching of your babies.
