well here's the situation...Myy ball won't eat!
actually he was trying to eat a mouse but it was like he doesn't have enough strength to kill it!i was watching him while he was trying to grab a mouse...he jumped several times and even managed to bite a mouse but he couldn't keep it that way...
he is hungry, he is trying to eat but can't catch a mouse!
any ideas what could be the problem???

Two questions come to mind............How big is this snake? and when did it last eat?

If you are not already, you could suspend the mouse an inch or so off the ground to give the snake more time to nail (in a good hold) the mouse. You could also try prekilled mice which works much safer and your snake would not spend extra energy restraining and killing the mouse.

How do you know he's hungry? =/

I'm quite sure that if he wanted to catch the mouse...he would catch the mouse. And trust me...he knows how to squeeze. He's probably not in the mood for a mouse right now, so he's trying to scare it away. He'll eat when he wants to eat. Really.

well, he ate one mouse and he wants to eat sevond one as well...i know he's hungry because it was 3 weeks since his last meal...
and if he wasn't hungry...why is he trying to catch a mouse??...mouse was bleeding from a leg, he bite it so hard!
i have never seen him doing that...just biting a mouse and not actually eat it!
maybe he'll eat tomorrow...he shed 2 days ago and i'm getting new mouse because the one i had died...was too weak of all the bites i guess!

Again...how do you know he wants a second mouse?

That doesn't necessarily mean he's hungry.

Again...he may not be trying to catch the mouse. I'm pretty sure that if he wanted to catch the mouse...he would catch the mouse.
