Does anyone happen to have this book? If so, would you recommend this book as a good source of information?

It has good information in it, but I think you are better off coming to a site like kingsnake.com and look at caresheets and talk to people through forums like this one.

The book that I started with was The General Care and Maintenance of Burmese Pythons By Philippe de Vosjoli, it had good information for me to start with and then I began speaking with Burm owners so I could get more hands-on information and their tried and true tips. I also worked with a local rescue organization before getting my snakes so that I was comfortable with what I was doing and not so much of a newbie.

I donot know absolutely everything there is to know about burms, however, I know how to take care of her. My curiosities are not of general care and maintenance of burmese pythons, but of trying to find a good resource to refer to with curiosities. I guess my initial question should have been....

Is "The Guide to owning a Burmese Python", a newbie type of book or is this also useful and informative to more experienced individuals as well?

Thank you for your responses.

I own it, and use it. While I am experienced, I still read these "beginner" manuals because sometimes, what you are calling, "curiosities", or nothing more than beginner facts which we have forgotten about.
I use my books from time to time, when I cant recall something basic.
If nothing else, it's and easy read, and something you can read through while sitting down with a cup of coffee.

Thank you for the reply. Even though I understand that this may be a "beginner" book, I am relatively new to the snake world, when compared to my experience with crocodilians. So therefore I like to cover all of my bases on care and so forth. Even though I monitor her temps/humidity every day and clean her enclosure when it is needed, and feed appropriately and so forth........
There is still so much, that I am sure I dont know!! I just look forward to giving my animals the best proper care and so therefore look into every avenue on how to do it.

Thanks again!!
