What is the best digital camera for $300?

ok I am not a rich person nor do I have a whole bunch of money I can spend. I just wanted to know what is the best digital camera I can get for around $300?

Look at some of the reviews and comparisons at dpreview.com. That will give you a good basis as to what is out there. Then do some reading about photography until you understand what you are looking for in a camera.

There is no such thing as the "best" digital camera for $300 or for $3000. Digital cameras have a variety of options and capabilities, some of which might matter to you and some of which won't.

IMHO, if anyone tells you they know what the "best" camera is for a particular price, it is probably a reflection of their lack of knowledge about cameras and photography.

Do some research about photography, then about cameras, then make your decision.
