incubation concerns...

pythonman26 Apr 17, 2005 05:05 PM

I am sure someone posted a similiar question to mine but I dont have time right now to look so heres my dilema.....

I have a gravid Kingsnake and she will be ready to lay soon. My concern is how to incubate the eggs and how to maintain the proper tempartures. I live in NY and the weather is warming up but no way near enough to incubate eggs on their own. The room temps in my house is also rather cold, usually in the 60s.(Brr I hate the cold). Turning up the thermostat is not an option since I dont pay the bill and there is no warm room I can utilize.

My questions are how should I incubate them and how should I keep the eggs at the proper tempature of 80-85 degrees??

Thanks in advance,

Drew

Buying an incubator is the easiest way. I believe the beanfarm has them for about 45 dollars. I'm sure NY has a few herp societies that could connect you with an incubator quickly if your snake is laying in a day or two. Building an incubator is another matter; not hard, but I don't have the time nor the qualified experience to attempt to explain it here
