gravid? female

I've had a male leo for years, and about 6 months ago, he finally got a girlfriend. She's a proven breeder, nice and fat, 2 years old or so

About a month later she looked a bit chubby, i thought she was gravid, but she never laid them, ate like a pig, and acted completely normal. You could see some lighter patches under her belly, but not the clearly defined bulges i see in pictures of gravid females. I assumed it was just her body and thought i hadn't noticed she was more well rounded than my male before.

Now she looks really fat. I'm almost afraid to pick her up because i don't want to touch the eggs. She's short, much smaller than my male and somewhat smaller than most females, so there aren't many places to pick her up by without touching her sides (she doesn't walk up on your hand like the male.

I'll try to get some pictures of her belly and post them tonight, but here's my question... if she was gravid 4 months ago, would she JUST NOW be suffering ill-effects? She's been eatting a lot of her calcium the last week or so, she never really paid a lot of attention to it before, but now she'll actually leave the wax worms until she's done licking up the calcium around them.

I'm not really sure what my question is, i just want to see if this is normal or if i should be concerned... is it possible that an egg bound female could get more eggs on top of that? or is it more likely that she never was pregnant and just now is?

oh and is it possible that she wouldn't lay around my male?

Usually she kicks him out of their humid spot/laying box. but now and then he decides he's top dog and goes in there shaking his tail at her until she leaves and goes to the dry house.

please guys?

i know "bring her to a vet" but i've had so many bad experiences with reptile vets, and i'm new to this area and really don't know where to bring her that i could trust. a so called "specialist" killed my baby tortoise a few years ago, and i have a hard time trusting my guys with vets after that. if i should be worried, i will be and i'll bring her to a vet 6 hours away
