Gravid Corn Snake... I think: please advise

Sweet_Pickle Apr 17, 2005 08:12 PM

This snake went off feed aboout a month ago. SHe had a large mid-abdominal lump for several days and it seemed to disappear last week.

She shed this AM - and was not interested in any of the males I put in her enclosure. She was left with a large male for days on end, off and on, from the end of February through the end of March.

She just shed this morning and still refused to eat (usually she is a very aggressive feeder).

What do you guys think??? Gravid or just developing follicles??

if THATS a picture of the female in question, I'd say you have 1 of 2 things. A constipated snake that is gonna blow up soon, or a gravid snake. Im no expert, but I'd say she's gonna lay soon!
