Parthenogentic Mamushi birth again

FRAN Apr 18, 2005 08:39 AM

Well this also happened last year and this is the second year this has happened. Last night I discovered this still-born in with the mom. I recently obtained a male but he has been kept separated and has not even been near her, but this fall I will put them together and perhaps the results will be normal births. The mom is so beautiful and the male is a bit darker that I would not mind another one of her. She just needs to throw a live one. This baby is an exact duplicate of her mother. Nature is indeed very interesting.

PS: She still looks gravid and she also dropped one undeveloped ovum, so I may still be able to light that cigar afterall.
