I have used fish flakes before, but then switched to the pre made Flukers gut load. I have used that successfully for a long time so I would recommend that along wih feeding them vegetables. The better gutloaded the crickets, the better fed your gecko.
Funny, Tarzana... I used Flukers, then switched to fish-flakes. Watch out, because after using half of the jar of flukers, I found all this mold growing inside. That's why I wanted to switch to something that lasted longer. But thanks to everybody for all the tips.
I don't use fish flakes, but I know some people here may use them. It is best to use a mix of foods. I currently use: dry baby rice cereal, dry baby barley cereal, powdered milk, Miner-all, dry oatmeal, and wheat germ. Not to mention a bit of veggie every other day for moisture. It works great!

you can use them yes. I would not use them as a sole source for gutload though only part of a mixture. I use chick feed from a farm store or such is about the same a store bought cricket chow.
