i was wondering for some of you who build your own cages....how do you do it...I'm thinking about builing my own

I built my own cage! I used 1/2" white pine (untreated/unsealed), and tempered glass (I actually had a 5' by 16" sheet just laying around my house...). I cut a hole in the top for the basking light. I put 3 rectangle shaped air vents with wire screen in the back. I covered the bottom of the tank with the self adhesive shelf liner, than wheat bran. I used 2" by 2" white pine for frame, and built everything around that. My tank has a hinged door, it folds down, but my next tank will be sliding doors.
