My female

kungfuluke Apr 18, 2005 06:26 PM

My wc female collared is acting strangely as of late. She is alternately hyper and lethargic on different days, and she often sleeps out of her hide spot with her legs stretched at really odd angles. Is this normal? If not, what's wrong? Temp is average of 80 at night and 90 to 95 during the day. Fed well on crickets and mothes and various other bugs.

Also, she has developed an odd pattern under her chin.

what is the temp under the basking spot?
how long have you had her?
what do you mean by pattern under her chin?
have you ever had her treated for parasites since she is a WC?
sorry for the questions but it would help maybe figure some things out

100 - 105 , mine goes to 110 sometimes in the afternoon. The rest of the tank should be in the high 80's to 90

The way she sleeps is kinda normal as far as sprawling out, legs out behind their bodies (normal) but the lethargic thing is not to normal.

Shes wc so ya might want to have her checked for worms, I usually worm all my wc's as long as they are not gravid.

Also is there a chance she may ber going to shed?

Sometimes they sleep / act weird when they are ready to shed.

Let us know how she does, when ya get the temps higher.
