New Viper Book

FRAN Apr 18, 2005 06:35 PM

Hey, has anyone else see that Barron's just published a new book, "Vipers" by Dick Bartlett. Cool thing is that several of the photos are of the my snakes. Its a book aimed at the advanced hobbyist and I think it can be ordered at Amazon.com? Very interesting book that covers little details about vipers, their behavor, and their care. Neat to see my pals in a book.

Haven't heard of the book...I'll have to get it. I have met the author on a number of occasions. The man knows his stuff.

Gregg:

Here is the link I found to the book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764130269/qid=1113922137/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/104-0497568-5053559

I am a bit excited about the book because about a dozen of those vipers in that book are my personal pets and I am a bit excited as I did not know they were going to be in that book or any book, so it was a surprise for me and I can not only enjoy them in their cages, I can enjoy them in a great book. The full page pink eyelash on page 16 is mine. And the book covers many areas not usually written about, so all the "much needed" hot information is in it. And there are photos and discussions of other rare species not too common in the hobby, information on safety, hydration, handling, shipping, housing, etc, and on and on and just a very well put together book for hot keepers and those seeking information to keep hots.
