moving from cage to cage

chamsrcool Apr 18, 2005 11:06 PM

i want to set up a separate outdoor cage as my indoor one is too big to move in out during storms and stuff. i want to have a cage outside and just move the chameleon from cage to cage but will this stress her out? the outside cage will be bigger and have more folidge but will the change between the tow mess with her and stress her out?.

What I do is have a plant that I transport her on (though frankly, she is so used to be handled now she sometimes gets a ride out there in my hands - like today - and doesn't mind!

But generally, I have a nice, dense croton that I nudge her onto in her cage or lift her quickly (from indoor cage) and put her on it - then I put that plant, with her on it, in the outdoor cage and she can go where she wants from there. Hope this helps!
