Are those semi typical for that area or are they relatively exceptional looking for So Cal.

I see some out in the desert now and then but they dont look like that!

They were both field finds in the San Diego area. If the little one eats, well then.......... Usually I don't see specks like this around here. Typically they are "darker" ground colors. Usually a form of the blue/gray/pink "granite" look. However, mitches can be quite variable, even within given ranges. I've even seen an almost patternless pumpkin orange one. It was huge for a Speck, a little over 4 feet, and as thick as a coastal ruber.

Nice! That darker one looks just like one I saw in Snow Creek, though that one was more of a salt and pepper speck, but the color scheme was similiar still.
