I don't think they do. They are nocturnal animals, and though I haven't heard of any studies on leo vision I have read some on other nocturnal animals. The animals in these studies were found to not have colored vision. In the dark it's hard to differentiate colors so nocturnal animals (or at least the ones i've read about) never developed that ability. I'll try to find the articles I read and post them here.

Okay my "theory" was way off. When I was looking for an article about color vision in vertebrates I found this. It's very interesting.

Very interesting..I've always thought they were color blind. That's why you can use red light bulbs and it doesn't bother them at night.

Thankyou for replying Lizgirl, people don't seem to bother replying to me anymore for some reason! But yes very interesting find. I was curious to know really because i wondered if they could associate the color of their mealie bowl with food? So i guess that kinda answers my question. Thank you again and glad you liked the site. Im hoping to breed my normal male with my SHT(B) this year but i gotta fatten her up and it will be late in the season. I have also added my SHTCT(B) to the Our Gecko's page. Thankyou Gilbery's Gecko's
