Question for Ianstarr

AlteredMind99 Apr 19, 2005 11:26 AM

I am working on getting a temp gun and i went to raytek.com like you suggested, it appears they have several different kinds of temp guns, which one is best? I was thinking the one for "around the house" and "do-it-yourself projects" as the others all appeared to be for cars and such......

what do you think?

thanks

I know Pro Exotics sells the temp guns, and for general use for measuring the temps of basking spots for reptiles, the PE-1 is sufficient.

I agree with Eve. You can get a very good temp gum for about $25. I don't know how much the rayteks are, but I wouldn't pay much more.

Hey,

I agree with everyone else. I can't remember what exactly I said last time but usually I recommend Pro Exotics for economical reasons. Raytek just has some really nice guns if you're into it and want to pay for them.

I have a Pro Exotics version myself and am very happy with it.

Good luck,

Ian
