New Owner - Feeding Q

Liann Apr 19, 2005 12:10 PM

Hello there, I am the new owner of a Mexican Milk Snake named Marishka. I just brought her home yesterday and I was wondering how long I should wait before her first feeding. The store where I bought her was feeding her on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is due for a feeding today, but she probably needs a few days to adjust to her new surroundings. Thoughts?

Also, she was handled quite frequently at the pet store and is very docile. I have read some articles though that say you should not handle them for several days after bringing them home. Is this true or does it depend on the snake?

Thanks!!! I will post pictures soon!

I'd wait until Thursday. In the meantime, don't handle the snake until it feeds at least three times. It needs a few days to adjust to its new home.
