hi ..i just recently purchased a malu uromastyx from a pet store, and have had him for 3 days.. i'm noticing little white stuff built up over what i'm guessing to be his nasal passages.. is this common? i would be greatful for any help.

it is more than likely "snalt" (snot and salt) salt that they excrete through their noses

It's totally normal. Usually it falls off by itself. If it's seriously stuck or blocking the nostril, you can use a dampened Q-tip to remove it, but it's not often necessary.

ahh thanks so much.. that's exactly what it is.. what kind of setup is that? underground tunnels? i'm purchasing a 40gal breeder tank tomorrow.. and i'm trying to come up with a good home for him.
