mouth opening

kailin120288 Apr 19, 2005 02:26 PM

Yesterday my beardie opened her mouth at me like she was going to bite but she didnt. I was looking at her while she was sitting on my shoulder and she opened her mouth. My brother was standing close though do you think thats why. Im curious because she hasnt done that since I got her back in September.

My beardie usually opens her mouth while she's on me to tell me that she's hungry but I always have a tray of food near by when I have her out since she loves to be hand fed. My beardie is so spoiled to the point that right now she won't eat her veggies unless I feed them to her by hand lol but she deserves it now since she gave me 12 eggs the other day. Then again your brother might have scared her. Try getting her used to your brother and see what happens. Beardie bites don't hurt, I shoud know I've been bitten by both of mine, so there really won't be to much of a problem if she bites him.

My male used to like to be hand fed until he bit me then he stopped because he was afraid of biting me again. I wasn't mad at him for it but he'd seen me reprimand my female for biting me on purpose so I think that he thought the same thing was going to happen to him when he bit me on accident.
