She is so bloated - I can only think renal failure. I will get the results tomorrow morning but I just wish I could relieve her somehow. Once we know what the problem is I am not all that hopeful about her health, but am so confused as to why...

I know I am posting a lot, but I feel so damn helpless...

Oh no! Poor thing! I feel for you Lele....is she suffering? I know she must be in some pain...so much fluid retention, couldn't the vet had given a diuretic shot?

I couldn't even bring myself to weigh her today b/c I think she has gained even from yesterday. I tried to get her to eat some dandelion greens b/c they are a natural diuretic but she just wasn't interested.

I think he wanted to wait to see what we are dealing with. I will be calling him at 8:00 a.m. (EST) tomorrow. I just wish I knew what this was from. I called a place today about getting our water tested and will do that tomorrow, too. I am giving her strictly bottled water now. No pedialyte, no filtered tap.

Do you have any idea what is done for renal failure? I know I might be jumping the gun here, but I just want to know. I have only experienced it with my cats and that involved daily fluids...I know I need to let this go until the morning. I just turned out her lights early as I figure at least she will be comfortable in her sleep - I hope. I think I should peek in on her later to make sure she IS sleeping!

she peed on my hand today. it was sort of funny - joke on me. I was placing her on a branch after her day in the sun and I was trying to help her get one of her legs up and she kept looking back at me then she let loose! She didn't WANT that leg up there and obviously couldn't hold it in. It was clear "pee" - not poop, no urates - it was water.

I know its hard, and yes I know what your thinking, I have read about renal failure.

Lets just hope its not, and she will be okay. I know I have not been on here that long, but don't matter when something is sick, or someone is hurting, we all feel it,

Ya know Lele, if it is renal failure, I definitely would get that water checked, because it can come from toxic chemicals, I always treat my water, with a conditioner, for all my frogs, lizards. I know our water is very clorine tasting.

I make up old quart milk containers full of water each week and use them. I only bring this up because you had talked about your water.

Lets just pray she will be fine, Take it easy, try and rest, let us know.

i'm so sorry about poor Luna, i know what you are giong through because you have been helping me out with Abe and i am just at my wits end too. you are doing everything in your power to help her, and i know at times feel helpless. because thats how i feel right now. i hope Luna's condition can be reversed and i am crossing fingers and toes for her as well.
