Dried Green stuff on Cork Bark

reptileink Apr 19, 2005 05:29 PM

Hey all, I just received my order from Black Jungle, and the cork bark I ordered came with dry lichens and "moss" on it. This cork bark is going to be half submerged in a paludarium. My question is this; Will this be harmful to the water/animals/fish? I wouldn't think so because it's natural, but will it get all moldy and gross, or will it re-generate and grow? Basically, is it ok to leave this stuff on it?? Thanks, pictures coming soon!!

My understanding, and relatively small personal experience with cork bark is that it's actually naturally an anti-fungal. So, it shouldnt get all gross and stuff. I would think the lichen would be fine too.
