A great day for turtles

Today I found three male spotted turtles and about ten painteds.
I also found about 30 stink pots. I stoped counting but they are sill cool to catch. All of the turtles were released after capture.

Your a lucky guy finding all those spotters. I don't see too many here in New Jersey, but I think its because there so secretive and I do more herping in the summer when they are in their summertime shut down. Have seen a few in the cranberry bogs though. Nice pictures

Male spotteds have orange chins untill they are around the three inch mark. I have raised many spotties and have seen the change from orange to black about 100 times. He had a concave plastron and a long tail as well. I am 100% sure he is a male.
