I think it would be beneficial to us if we could compile each others feedback, may it be positive or negative, on dealers, importers, private sellers, or whomever. This way we all can be secure when we make transactions. Thank you if you participate. Long time reader, first time poster.

i don't believe this is " allowed" on the kingsnake forums. if you have any questions about any dealers specifically then it usually is okay as long as someone doesn't start advertising, or trashing someone too badly.

yea, i honestly have a few words i'd like to put in about a few people, but unfortunately i cant. would be real nice if there was something like the *other* site, where they actually have a pretty good board of investigations, but unfortunately all you can do is talk to kingsnake.

for instance....i ordered a gecko like 2 weeks ago, it was never shipped because it died (even though the seller told me it was doing good and he had it in for a month), and an "associate" of the real guy i was dealing with emailed me once to let me know i didnt get the gecko because it died (would have been nice to receive notice BEFORE i freaked out all day waiting on it). told me i would be getting my refund via money order....and im still waiting...and waiting....

that's unfortunate that we can't do that , or else we might be able to avoid situations like that, thanks anyways.

i already sent in the complaint....did it right after the last time we talked. i also e-mailed the seller yet again asking what is up, and no reply....

and we probably know why too.

YEEEE HAAAA!!!! Atleast now its documented. I just wanted to make sure you did that. Sorry for being a jerk about it. I really don't want another friend out a good chunk of change.

yea, so im new to this whole filing complaints thing....do you know if i never hear back from you-know-who, does paypal deduct the money from their account and refund it to me?

oh, and theres more good news...2-fold.
first of all, i may have landed a job at the local museum. granted its not with herps, its actually dealing with the fish collection, but if i get the position my foot is finally in the door!!!
and second of all, I FINALLY GOT THAT MALE CORKBARK IVE BEEN SCOURING THE EARTH FOR! he's due in wednesday next week, and i cant friggin wait! pretty good price on him too, and this time i KNOW he's coming from a dealer with a good reputation.

Good sh*t with the job. Have you have the interview yet? I've got my fingers crossed for you. I'm looking at switching jobs. Caltech is great and all but the compensation is horrible in comparison to University of Southern California,City of Hope Childrens Hospital, or The Parkinson's Institute.... I'm looking for a bigger primate facility. I would to work at Duke University Primate Center but I doubt I'll be going to that coast anytime soon.

hell, even though DUKE SUCKS, it would be awesome to have another leaftail enthusiast in the area. not to mention in a similar field as to what im getting into. good luck on those, you've got much better experience than i have so far in the professional setting. as for the interview and all, supposedly its all coming up soon because i just talked to the girl thats leaving the position last night. still not a guarantee or anything, but its real nice that i wont have to move to BFE or anything. also, ive got some other people i know at the museum already so it should be a real cool atmosphere. of course im gonna do my best to try to convince them to expand their non-native herps to perhaps include some LEAFTAILS!!!
