Hi Eve, thanks for asking.

I just spoke wiht my vet and her Calcium is high (21) and liver up a bit (not sure about specifics) and all else seesm OK. So...we have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow ($150) at noon. It will be him and another vet so we should know something by mid-afternoon.

She is doing OK, all things considered. She even ate a cricket - there was one loose (not sure how long, but I always put a little moist and dry food for crickets in the event one is hanging around, so they get gutloaded no matter what ) It was up on the screen and she shot and got it! I have no idea how she is going to fit it in her belly.

She's doing the 3-legged hang for a few hours then goes under the humidifier. It is a very warm (83 - too warm for me!) day and I want to take her out, but I also just want to leave her alone for a day. I am putting her to bed early and getting her up late - rest=healing time.

thanks,
lele & Luna

ultra sound tomorrow will tell you more of what may be going on with her.
I hope so. Geesh, gets pretty darn expensive when our critters get sick. DRAINS US DRY .....

Been there, many many times ! I pray she will be alright, she seems like a tough cookie, and so very pretty!

Hang in there, don't go TOO NUTS, wait and see, talk later.

If I am not mistaken over supplemting VITAMIN A causes renal failure. Panthers can not use straight vit A and ahve to ingest it as beta carotene first. Rep-Cal makes this form in Herptivite. Were you using vit A sups in large amts?

Hi - re: Vit A, not at all. She gets herptivite dusted feeders once a month and rep-cal/d3 once/week. The crix get a variety of veggies, including many with beta carotene (e.g. carrots, squash) but also greens, apples, etc.

Wow you only dust one a month and once a week for D3? Is it an adult?
Kammerflage creations gave me their schedule and I follow it, it goes like this:
Rep-Cal with D3 tue, fri
Rep-Cal Herptivite mon, thur
Miner-All by sticky tongue farms for out door use (no D3) wed, sat

This was for juviniles, babies and females with eggs.

For adult males they get the Calcium and vitamins 1 time a week. I would then mix a little Ca with D3 with Minerall with out D3 on one day and use just the vitamins on another day. I suppose you could just use Miner-All indoor to make it complete Ca with D3 for adults.
