just wondering what determines a crocs growth size as an adult? what decides how fast they grow?

What determines rate of growth?
Environmental climate conditions and food intake/proper nutritional diet.
What determines its max size?
Max size to my knowledge will be ultimately controlled by the animals genetic background. If the animals father was a huge male, then most likely the son will be as well. If the male was around 10', then it's a good possibility it will be the same for the male offspring.
Male or Female will also decide.
