I just wonder have any of you sulcata keepers done that?
We had ours chipped 3 weeks ago. We had to go out of town during the time we were having a new fence constructed so we had to board the tortoise at the vet's. We'd been kicking around the idea of chipping her for about a year, so since she had to board & the vet had been studying up on how to chip her, the vet went ahead with it. We know a person we don't trust very much & that's partly why we wanted it done, but we also wanted to always be able to prove she's ours.
It turned out to not be a big deal for her, she acted as if nothing had ever happened to her. The spot where the chip is doesn't bother her & frankly I can't even find it because I can't pull her leg out far enough to see it. lol
Anyone else have any experience with chipping them?
