This guy had nice colors.I'm amzed that more people dont keep these.I've bred them in the past and I love the variability of color and pattern they have.This one is from Riverside county.

yeah they make good captives as well and eat mice so there easy. I kept them and bred them they are awesome....nice picture---joe carroll

very nice long-nosed snake. i've always wondered why poeple dont keep these animals then later found out that they are primarily lizard eaters. i know of people who keep these and they can be converted to a rodent diet. i'm thinking if grey bands can be worked with why can't these guys be the same? btw, i've been checking out your herping pics and i'm completely jealous herping wise. full time work and school is keeping me off the field. hopefully i can atleast do some cruising in the summer months. btw, i've checked your site and saw that you're really getting deep on your pyro projects. good luck with the projects bro. take care.
