Stalled in the middle of shed cycle?

etchouta Apr 20, 2005 12:18 PM

Hi,

My male ball seems to be stuck in the middle of his shed cycle. The skin darkened and the eyes clouded slightly without turning blue two weeks ago. Usually he sheds 4-5 days after the eyes clear. Now he is stuck with one eye clear one eye a little "troubled" (but not blue) and very dark skin. Is it possible for a ball to stop its shed cycle? My temps and humidity are on par and nothing changed in his environment taht could have caused him stress. I was wondering if any of you guys ever had that happen. I soaked him a couple of times too but he never seemed to want to get rid of the old skin. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

I wouldn't be concerned, if it was ready to come off it would start coming off. Wait a few more days and keep the humidity higher than usual during this time for an easier shed.
