This is not a BP, but it's kinda neat.

Don't feel too alone. I thought it was an ugly carpet python when I got the pics in e-mail a while back. I gather that this is one of those big mean species you don't see in captivity all that much. I saw a scull once and talk about teeth! With that long skinny body and teeth I'm wondering if they eat more birds that roos normally. Couldn't believe it got it down and with someone walking around filming it too.

Amethystine python - By the size of that roo's tail I'd say it wasn't an adult roo either as we all know getting it in is only half the struggle, it probably didn't digest very easily.

LOLOL, Burrrrrrrrrp is right. Talk about yer indigestion. Somebody give that poor gal a rolaid.

Quig

jjhall Apr 20, 2005 05:01 PM

It's probably a Wallaby.

ginebig Apr 20, 2005 06:28 PM

OK Two things.............first I'm no expert, we don't know how long this snake is, and not being able to see the head of the supposed 'roo, I can't be sure it's not one. Kangaroos and wallabys all come in assorted sizes. And second, either way it's a hell of a meal for a snake that size, and somebody should really get her some rolaids Just my humble attempt at an educated guess.

That meal is soooo large, that I wonder if the snake was even able to keep it down?? How can a snake digest such a large meal? I think some snakes are capable of handling much larger meals than others, so maybe the scrub is something like a rock.. but I'll tell you one thing, don't attempt to do that with a ball python.. seems to me a meal that large is actually rather risky to the snake's health.. anyways, a ball python would probably never take a meal that large for it's size so I guess that may never be a problem hehe...

Interesting pictures to say the least...

Bristen.
