Is there such a thing as Dwarf Burmese

msubigdawg Apr 20, 2005 03:28 PM

I was curious as to whether or not there are dwarf burmese pythons. If so where can they be found and how common are they. Also how much do they cost and how are they produced.

Hi.. I don't know any specifics but I saw a post on bob clark's forums about these and they do exist but they aren't very common. Maybe you can find more info on the BC forum. Good luck in searching.. They would be awesome if they ever get a bit more common.

Yes there are real dwarf burmese. They are still very rare. Sometimes wild caughts are for sell but they dont do very well. Me and my girlfriend are the first and still only ones to breed them in captivity. You can email me at my email link above for more info.

The prices for captive produced babies has been about 5,000 each and they sold out pretty fast.

They are from an island and have evolved to be small. They seem to max out at about 7' long for females and 6' for males.

The females can breed as small as 4.5-5' and males 3.5-4'

Thanks Beau
