Male biting female

gavinclews Apr 20, 2005 03:39 PM

Hi, i am starting the new breeding season this year and am having a little problem. I have a male and a female that i bred together last year with no problems. I have started trying to breed them this year but things dont seem to be going too well as he is trying to bite her. Not the usual mating bite around the back of the neck but he is opening wide and trying to bite her legs and back. I know what breeding looks like but this is nasty biting like he wants to hurt her. What is going on? I have had them a couple of years but havent seen him doing this yet. Help me out as soon as you can people.

I would seperate them for awhile and try (carefully) reintroducing them later...
