Two Questions that I really need help on!

Pastel_Lover Apr 20, 2005 03:56 PM

First off, can I put my hatchlings into a cage as soon as they are out of the shell and roaming about my incubator? Also I have a pic here of one of my males that looks very odd to me. With the patterns and severe blushing on the sides(cinnamon pastel blushing), what the heck is he? A normal? A labyrinth? Maybe something else? Any info would be great. Thank you so much, also my eggs are hatching as I write.

To answer your question regarding the babies.....

When babies hatch I remove them from the incubator.....rinse them off and place all the clutchmates as they hatch into a 5 -7 qt sterilite/rubbermaid or freedom breeder baby rack. I place a piece of damp, not soaking wet...but damp paper towel in the bottom and i replace it daily unitl they shed....the damp paper towels prevent them ( the babies ) from drying up and or damaging their umbilicus......

once they shed........i seperate them and then its time to grow up!

Hope this helps....

if you have any questions...feel free to email me and ill try to help ya out...
