Couple pics of the dark kids.

Actually they are more like RG's kids that I got to visit with for a little bit.

It's actually just a 5mp sony that I've had for 2 years. It doesn't get quiet the resolution of some of those new 8mp monsters but it still can take a decent photo once in a while. Thanks.

a pale male abyssus.

Nice pictures Rich! What are you using a dij or 35mm?
Those little abyssus are neat, I have to try and find one someday.

I use a digital. It's an 8MP Olympus. It's brand new so I still have a long way to go before I have it mastered.

a little more of a classic coloration although he was still coated with winter grime.

from ca.~6900 ft., Coconino Co. Az. Genetically they still fall into the "nuntius" clade but I have a hard time calling them "hopi" when they are three feet long and green.

wish we had more time to hang out and let more emerge but I had to go to work. I think we would have had twice as many snakes out if we had had another hour or two to wait.

every time I go through the different photos at different angls I see more snakes. There were at least thirteen in the frame of the original shot although only eleven (or parts of) can be seen.

I liked the little peeper in this photo. I never noticed the second snake till after I got home. She wasn't in the previous photos, she just got curious as to what was going on out there with her big sister.
