Flourescent Pink Coachwhips!! Wow, They are gorgeous!!

lizfortune Apr 20, 2005 04:49 PM

Hi,
I have been looking these for over 6 months as they are extremely difficult to find and according to a good friend of mine, only found within a 4-mile area in W. Texas!! Another person I was in contact with confirmed this as the really red coachwhips (and the fl. pink ones which are much rarer)are found in W. Texas, but I didn't know it was primarily within such a short range. My female is getting ready to lay eggs and I can't wait to see the babies!! I would post photos of the parents but haven't figured out how to do it on here yet. If anybody would like to see photos (the male is stunning and the female is a descendant of his), you can email me at "Alisaalicia04@aol.com" and I would be more than happy to send a couple photos (the female will be shedding any time and I will get photos of her as soon as she does). This pair has double-clutched every year since they were first bred together.

I received this pair from a very good friend of mine and they are not for sale so please don't ask!! The reason I mention that is I have only had this pair for about two weeks and have had two offers on them (one significant!) Anybody who has seen the most stunning fl. pink coachwhips on this forum or has received babies from this pair will probable know who had this pair immediately!!

Anyways, these are the first coachwhips I have had in several years and I am excited to work with them. I thought my friend was exagerating a little when he said how intelligent they are and how much of a personality they have. I have always heard they are super-hyper and aggressive and will bite you as often as they can! I have not been bitten yet and, believe it or not, the female coiled around my neck yesterday and sat there for about 30 minutes while I took care of a couple errands. I was VERY impressed!!

About two months ago, I put a thread in this forum trying to find somebody that had the solid red (as I didn't think there was ANY chance of finding somebody with the fl. pink) and I wanted to thank the few people that got in contact with me with suggestions and advice. It was much appreciated and I learned a lot!Thank you very much!!
