i just found FOUR nice, big, fat eggs in my geckos humid box. it's possible i suppose that they were there for awhile. but i think they would have gone bad between clutches if they are old. is it possible my girl really laid 4 eggs at once??

oh and here's my question- i was TOTALLY unprepared for this, it's been so long since they've lived together i just kinda stopped thinking they'd breed. we're in the middle of moving so who knows where half my stuff is. All i could scrounge up is peat moss/coconut fiber, a 50 watt heat bulb, and a 10 gallon tank
i used the fiber mix and moistened it, not WET, but definitly not dry and filled about 2 inches of the bottom of a plastic container with lid and air holes. Placed the eggs a couple inches apart right on top (not turning them) and moved some fiber to cover the sides.
i placed this in the 10 gallon, and the heat light on the other end with part of the reflector over the edge so not all of the heat is directed inside..l
i can't set up an incubator right now, because of moving, but i can go pick up a few things tomorrow to make the chances of successs higher. i have an air pump and all, should i add a dish of water with the air pump to the tank? not in the container, but next to it? i heard you can use an submersable heater, put a few inches of watter in the tank, and set the water temp a degree or 2 higher than you want the substrate... is that a reliable way?
any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
I guess it's possiable for them to lay 4 eggs.it seemes kinda over the top though. Sometimes the lay at exactly 2 weeks apart..when was the last time you checked the humid hide? If she hasn't been with a male in a while it's very possible the eggs are infertile...right now with all the moving etc. you might choose to not incubate them. Put a search on google for "homemade lizard incubators". There's almost always the "tank" method that shows up. I have a hova and have never used the tank method so I can't help you out there. I hatched my fist hatchling from the hova yesterday. Good luck!
