thanks for the compliment, this was taken in a state park near me in southern virginia, i happened to be messing w/ my camera at the time when i heard some rustling, thinking it was another skink and saw this guy moving quickly into the woods, i chased him and took him back onto the path. At first he was gaping and arching his head, wish i could have got a picture of that but he calmed down fairly quickly.
