WC Bulls Feeding ideas?

terryd Apr 21, 2005 12:38 AM

I'm having a problem with a wc female Bull and getting her to eat. I have other wc Bulls that are eating great for me. But this lady has been snubing all my frozen thawed mice. I will try a prekill mouse tomorrow.
I had her in a big terrarium and she wouldn't eat in it, so I moved her to a smaller sweater box, no luck. Should I try live mouse? Of course I'd keep a close eye on things if I try live.
Her heat is the same as the other Bulls so I'm sure it's not that.
Any other ideas out there? Thanks.

I have a WC Great Basin Gopher snake that is unwilling to take frozen or fresh killed mice so (and I know some disagree) I have just decided to feed her live mice and keep a very close eye on the entire feeding process. She seems happy....and so am I!

O.K., so I fed my wc female Bull a live mouse and the mouse didn't last twenty seconds and she inhaled it. Problem solved, I hope.
I never thought to try a frozen rat, thats a good idea I'll try it.
I have other wc Bulls who would love a good rat.
Thanks for the suggestions.

i've bee able to turn W/C animals around by offering them chicks (live) and then a F/T mouse or rat right away.

personally, i've also noticed that W/C snakes are very effective when it comes to killing live prey, not like some CB snakes that i've had to offer live too.

for whatever its worth..

I really like the chick idea, I'll try it if I have any more trouble. Thanks
