North Texas Regulars

woodsrider Apr 21, 2005 12:31 PM

Went for a short outing yesterday, the temp was 68 degrees.Flipped this Tx Rat that was in the blue, I brought it out to photograph and he promptly inverted himself and laid completely still. Pretty cool defencive strategy, usually they strike out and musk. Also flipped this adult male Eumeces {Broad Headed Skink} he was not showing the vibrant orange head that the males get when in breeding mode. The thing is that he was very robust for so early in the season. The boards that were in this area were 4x8 sheets of plywood with roofing material still attached, maybe during the winter the shingles retain heat better than the regular boards."who knows"

Maybe if your skink picture was in focus?
Maybe you ought to post a pic of the bass you caught?
