snakeman5124 Jul 10, 2003 07:38 PM

ok i am trying to determine wether my veiled cham is still or ever was dehydrated so my first question is what would you consider sunken in? like how much of the eye should be "outside the skull" i would greatly appreciate pics of dehydrated also are there any other ways to tell if it is dehyrated? thanks a lot

If the cham is not too small you can pinch a bit of skin from the side of it's belly between your fingers (but not too hard) and see how fast it goes back down to normal. If it stays pinched or tented up too long the cham is dehydrated. Anormal chams skin will stay pinched only slightly longer than human skin would. You can pinch the skin on the back of your hand to compare.
