Betta in Dragon cage.

chonglover Apr 21, 2005 01:30 PM

Is it safe to have a betta fish in a beardie cage? I've never heard of this being done but I figured to save room why not. So if anyone has tried this and failed let me know so I don't kill my fish. thanks

Most people find a beardie cage a little too dry for the fish.

I am assuming you want to put a small tank inside your bearded dragon's cage for the betta. I wouldn't recommed this as the water would make it more humid in the bearded dragons care. Also the dragon may manage to get into or knock over the betta's cage. Also the heat lamps may make the water too hot for the betta.

I suggest putting the betta tank ontop or underneath the bearded dragon's tank, if it has a stand.
