crazy4burm123 Apr 21, 2005 03:50 PM

Is it ok for me to bring my albinmo out in the sun for fresh air and a little exersise or does the albino trait have specific irritation from the suns rays?

Try to keep him out of the sun, go to a more shady area. Short periods of exposure wont hurt him, like maybe 20-30 minutes at the most (but not everyday). Albinos can get sunburnt if exposed to long.

I would also suggest only taking your burm out side when the temps are high seventies to 90 degrees ferenheit (sp).

I agree...20-30 mins in muted sunlight is certainly ok.
I bring my albino out, in, as I said, muted sunlight. And after all these years, no harmful effects.
I would think, extended periods, or more than 10 mins in direct sunlight, maybe less depending on where you live, can be harmful to albinos.
Without building up to being in sunlight, it can be harmful to any herp.
Think about yourself, that first day out in the summer sun.
And we've all had that red neck!
