I have one of those net/cage tops should I be worried of taking my turtes outside in the summer because of some animals maybe eating them.(If so what animals would eat these turtles.)

Thank You,

Well where do you live? Mostly Racoons eat them but if they are large turtles or are in a gated area they should be fine. As for outside in the summer I have kept 3 turtles outside(I live in FL) there whole lifes. I think its the best thing for them. But it also stays pretty warm here all year round. Hope I helped.

I live in NJ but will they eat through the top or damage the tank and get to the turtles?

Thank You

Two things you must be do in order for them to be safe outside.
Mine spend summers outside.

1. Make sure their enclosure has a lot of access to shade.
If you put them directly in the sun they may die of heat
exhaustion

2. Netting most likely will not keep predators out. Opposums
coons and large birds could eat your turtles, not to mention
pets that are allowed to roam and kids.
I have a 6' X 6' x 6' dog run that is even enclosed on the
top where my ponds are kept. I have a padlock on it. You
may not have to go to that extend but I take no chances.

Hope this helps
Linda
