dione egg laying question

choppergreg Apr 21, 2005 09:37 PM

I have a pair of E.dione they were breeding like crazy. Today she dropped what appears to be a slug. I still notice she has what appears to be more eggs or slugs in her. Is this common, is it possible they are fertile eggs and not slugs? Could she be egg bound or slug bound? Sorry for all the questions but it is my first time breeding. Thank you

More than likely she is gravid with fertile eggs and was "making room" by dropping a slug. Happens in colubrids fairly frequently. Good luck on your first babies!

Last night I was laying in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, "Where the hell is my ceiling?"
