May I just vent...

iaherper Apr 21, 2005 11:23 PM

I am getting so fustrated!!..I don't get it...How does anyone who's a "nobody" ever sell anything in the classifieds? I am so sick of stupid offers and people telling me that they want to make a purchase and then never returning my emails I could puke!. Granted I have had a couple decent offers from nice people, but for the most part this is ridiculous. I'm not even sure I could give things away!!

Whheeewwww...

Thanks for letting me "vent" a little

I'm really a nice guy...seriously....I promise..

I have had the hardest time selling anything, Even when my prices are rock bottom. Whenever anyone does respond they either want to trade me a tegu or an anaconda, even though in my ad I am extremely specific in what trades I am interested in. Then, like you said, there are always the people who want you to hold an animal for them without a deposit or tell you they are buying it and never send money. Gotta love this business.

It can be hard sometimes but then other times things sell quickly. I also get tired of all the trade offers. I can't tell you how many times I've been offered a retic or a burm in trade. I have also received several trades that I was interested in.

I have even had people give me sob stories about how broke they are but want to get their loved one a great gift and then ask if I can lower the price to about half. Eventually you will get a serious buyer so hang in there. Some emails aren't even worth responding to and its like playing 20 questions with a five year old. We should list all the stupid questions and trades we have been offered.

I'll start, someone asked if I would send their snake a birthday card if they purchased it from me? LOL!

LOL... its all part of the game. just remember the better you present yourself in emails the more people will trust you and start looking for your ads, it just takes time and there are alot of sob stories out there but if you stick to your guns you will always come out on top... Try and remember why you got started in the first place... then you will remember that everyone is just trying to get the most for the least amount of cost to them... Hope everything works out for you and i know you will turn up on top.. just wait them out...

SIncerely,
