My 5' Albino Burm who will not eat rats. The guy i bought her from feed her mice when she was a baby and i have been trying for so long to switch her to small rats and she will not eat them. I have tried to give her a mice and after that a rat but nothing. I bought that magic mouse maker to put on the rat again nothing. I have even tryed to rub the mouse on the rat but still she would not take it. i have tryed f/t, f/k, and live but nothing from any of them. I am running to out things to try. Anyone out there have advice for me.

How often do you feed her now?? Might sound cruel, but they can go months without food safely. Try waiting till you KNOW she's really hungry, give it three or four weeks maybe, Then try a rat. Should work, if not go a couple more weeks. Be persistant. Just my opinion.

I wouldnt give it another mouse again...just make it wait...its a burm...it cant live off mice forever

I agree with the others, let it go without eating for a while...hunger is a great motivator.
Just be persistent.

hey i have a burm and 2 jungle carpet pythons my burm is about the size of yours now and i wanted to switch my burm to rats so i went to a guy and he cut up a mouse and put the blood on the rat then i tried and it workded i just feed mine regular rats now

I never had a problem with switching from mice to rats but either way whenever i make a witch I do this.....Get a few mice and let them live in a 10 gallon taNK FRO about a week with fresh bedding. Then take out the mice and put the samll rat in there for about a day or 2. Then feed him to your snake. The smell of mouse will be all over him by then. Hope this helps. Also not feeding for a few weeks is a good sugesstion too
