Ball has not eaten in half a year

r3ptile Apr 22, 2005 09:56 AM

I feel the same as the person that posted the last thread- Im getting really annoyed with my BP's fasting. He has not eaten in 6 months!! He has always gone through an occasional fast but this has been the longest. Ive tried every trick in the book, plus tried rats and mice, and even live. He used to find live prey hard to resist during a fast but lately he hasnt even struck at them. My final option is giving him a live hamster. I have been reluctant to do this, as I used to keep hamsters as pets when I was a kid so I guess you can say I have a soft spot for them. Is there a really high chance that my BP will break his 6 month fast for a tasty hamster?

Both of mine started eating again. They had not eaten since november. I raise my own rats so i put in a rat about the size of a adult mouse and both of them ate no problem. Both the bp's are 800grams. I just used something a little small and it worked. Now i will move up to something bigger.
